Ordering a commissioned piece of artwork is often a once in a lifetime purchase. It is never to be seen elsewhere and whatever the subject, whether it is a portrait of a family member or a loved pet, it is personal to you and is likely to be treasured for a lifetime.

Whenever I am approached to create a piece of artwork, I like to talk about the subject matter with the customer or ask them to give a brief description to get an idea of their expectations or feelings about their chosen subject. This is important to me because I like to represent the character of the subject as well as the photographic similarity. Whenever you look at the drawing or the painting of your loved one, I hope to evoke the wonderful memories and feelings associated with the subject, therefore making your portrait truly unique to you.
